What is Suntex Marinas?
SUNTEX MARINA is the leading owner, operator and developer of high-quality coastal and inland marina properties located throughout the United States. Led by a management team with more than 100 years combined experience investing in, acquiring, and operating marinas, Suntex currently employs more than 60 people in its corporate office and over 1200 on-site at its marinas. We operate Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, NJ and Marina Jack in Sarasota, FL, both of which have been awarded “Marina of the Year” by Marina Dock Age, so we fully understand the intricacies of operating world class marina facilities.

Is Suntex Marinas a "Clean Marina"?
We believe that marina owners and operators should serve our industry as good stewards of the aquatic marine environment. We have chosen to lead by example. We voluntarily initiated and implemented a set of environmental Best Management Practices (BMP) designed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to preserve Florida's waterways. These BMPs address critical environmental issues such as sensitive habitat, waste management, storm water control, spill prevention, and emergency preparedness.
Do you have wet slips?
Yes. We have 85 slips accommodating boats up to 75 feet in length.
What is the depth of the marina or approach to the marina at low tide?
Currently, the entrance depth is 9 to10 feet.
Does your marina have WiFi (internet access) on the docks?
Yes, this marina offers OnSpot Wireless Internet service on the docks.
Do you have dry storage?
We have inside dry storage in a state-of-the-art storage barn that will handle up to 110 boats that are up to 30 feet in length.
Do you rent boats?
We do not rent boats at our marina. If you are interested in a charter boat, we can assist you with arrangements. Charters may come into our marina to pick up clients. We can also assist you in finding local rental boat companies.
How do I get to Suntex Marina - Daytona Beach?
Exit I-95 at US 92 and proceed east until you reach North Beach Street. Turn north at the light and continue for about 1/2 mile. At the ramp for the bridge, bear left onto Ballough Road. The marina entrance is about 1/4 mile farther on Ballough Road.
By Water: The marina entrance is directly on the west side of the Intracoastal Waterway or Halifax River, immediately south of waterway marker 32.
What are the hours for Suntex Marina - Daytona Beach?
We are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. All Suntex Marina locations are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
What do I do if there is an after-hours emergency?
The marina office phones are forwarded nightly to an answering service. The service will contact the harbormaster or another Suntex Marina official in the event of an emergency. If the incident involves an injury or the law is being broken, please dial 911.
What is the closest airport?
Daytona Beach International Airport is located only about 10 minutes away from the marina on US 92, immediately next to the Daytona International Speedway. Orlando International Airport is approximately 70 miles.
Do you offer new or used boat sales?
We do not offer new or used boat sales at Suntex Marina - Daytona Beach. Please feel free, however, to contact our harbormaster for assistance regarding sales, boat rentals, charters, or other leasing opportunities.
Do you sell gas or diesel?
Suntex Marina - Daytona Beach does not sell fuel.
Do you sell bait?
We do not sell live or frozen bait on-site. We would be happy to provide directions to the nearest bait and tackle store and secure transportation for you, if necessary. Our Ships Store does carry boating essentials, including soda, beer, ice, and soft goods such as hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets.
Are there any good fishing locations near you?
The Mosquito Lagoon, a short boat ride south of the marina, is a hotbed for inshore snook, sea trout, and redfish action. Offshore fishing requires a fairly long run to the gulfstream, but is a rewarding area for dolphin and cobia anglers.
Do you have on-site pump-out service and how do I arrange for pump-out service?
On-site pump-out service is available at all of our wet slips at no charge to our members. Please contact the marina office to schedule your pump-out service. Service is available to nonmembers for a $15 fee.
How far away is the beach?
The beach is only about a 1.5-mile drive, just take Ballough Road back to the first bridge, turn east and follow the signs. The great surprise is that you can actually drive onto the beaches in Daytona Beach during daylight hours. A trip to Daytona Beach would just not be complete if you miss the "beach drive"!
Are there any beaches or islands nearby that I can drop anchor and swim?
Some areas prohibit swimming and anchoring due to marine conservation laws. You may want to review local charts or check with the harbormaster or local marine patrol officials.
Are there any areas close by to go water skiing?
Yes. Just a few minutes past the Seabreeze Bridge north of the marina, the Intracoastal Waterway widens out and has an unrestricted speed zone that is very popular with water-skiers and wakeboarders.
Are there any restaurants on the water that I can get to?
Yes, and you do not have to leave the marina. Caribbean Jack's, Daytona Beach's most popular waterfront restaurant, is located on-site at Suntex Marina - Daytona Beach. Caribbean Jack's offers Sunday brunch and nightly live music, also the best in waterfront fun, food, and drink.
Are there any fixed bridges in the area? If so, what are the height limits?
There are three fixed bridges in the central Daytona Beach area. However, they all are set at a 65-foot minimum clearance height.
